About Me

Hello!

My name is Miss Meers and I am a teacher candidate at the University of Northern British Columbia.

Five things that you need to know about me are…..

1.) My mom is my absolute best friend and role model. She had raised me as a single mother (with a lot of support) and had sacrificed a lot for me. Her finally be completely happy means a lot to me and she’s the only reason why I’m here.

2.) I love to travel. I’ve been to 10 countries, traveled 5 provinces and 4 states, and I have plans for 3 more trips when I graduate. My favourite place I have ever been is London and I have gone there 3 times (2015, 2022, and 2023).

3.) I have been to about 30 concerts. I grew up in the Lower Mainland and my family had stressed doing things over having things when I was growing up. The most recent concert I have been to is Pitbull as part of the Trilogy Tour and my next booked concert is Taylor Swift as part of the Eras Tour. 😁 There is currently talks to going to Toronto to visit family and go see Niall Horan in June of 2024. My all time favourite concert I had ever been to was One Direction in Sheffield in October 2015. It had been their last show as a band and had been a very special experience.

4.) I have never actually gone to University close to home. I am from Langley but had done my first Bachelor’s degree in Halifax and now I am in Prince George for my Bachelor’s of Education.

5.) My first Bachelor’s was a Bachelor’s of Arts with a major in Political Science and minors in History and Contemporary Studies. Contemporary Studies is pretty much just a fancy work for Philosophy and this area had only looked at about the last 2-300 years.
